Worthen Development Company is a privately held, Atlanta based company specializing in the ground-up development of high end grocery-anchored retail projects. The company was founded by Charlie Worthen, an Atlanta native who has spent his career in the retail commercial sector. Throughout his career Charlie has developed over 35 projects. Many of Worthen’s projects have received awards relating to tree preservation, quality of construction, elaborate design details, and the relocation/preservation of existing historic buildings and features. Outdoor dining areas, the use of previous brick pavers, expansive sidewalks, pedestrian pathways, undulating storefronts designs, planter boxes, the saving and the preservation of existing trees are common place features in Charlie’s projects
